How to Clean White Tennis Shoes

I love white tennis shoes and so does my husband but I hate the look of dirty white tennis shoes. The sucky part is that they mark up and get dirty so fast. So I came up with this little recipe for washing them without destroying the shoe.

What you need:

Oxi Clean MaxForce Spray
Oxi Clean Detergent Powder
Regular Detergent (I use Tide Sport)

What to do:

Make sure you are washing just your white shoes, without any shoes with bright colors. Just in case the color leaks. So all you have to do is take each shoe and spray the Oxi Clean Spray all over the shoe. I like spraying them right inside the washing machine to contain the spray so it doesn’t go all over the place. Once all your shoes are in the washer, sprinkle over them the OxiClean powder. Use your regular detergent as well. I like using the liquid Tide Sport to wash mine. Run them through a regular wash cycle. I use hot water but if you are afraid about the glue possibly separating then just use cold or warm water. Once they’re done washing, let them air dry outside in the sun for about one day and they will be almost like new again.
